Hello, I'm Dr. Renée Rivard; thank you for visiting my site.
I am a Masterson Method® Certified Practitioner (MMCP), a Masterson Method® Equine Specialist (MMES), and a certified Equine Therapeutic Massage Therapist (ETMT) from the Colorado Rocky Mountain School for Animal Acupressure and Massage. I have also completed a workshop in basic equine Ortho-bionomy® that uses positional release techniques. When used together, these gentle modalities improve equine health and performance by helping the horse release tension and restriction naturally.
I have been passionate about the health and well-being of humans and animals alike for more than 40 years with a strong interest in natural modalities. My passion for animal well-being is reflected by my decades of volunteer service as a wildlife rescuer, rehabilitator, educator, animal welfare committee member, and conservationist. I have contributed to wildlife and environmental conservation work in Australia, The Republic of Panama, and the US. My more recent volunteer work with equine therapeutic riding as well as rescue / rehabilitation stables in Colorado Springs rekindled a connection among my love of horses, health, and natural healing. I continue to volunteer for like-minded organizations. My doctorate in clinical pharmacy, bachelor's in biology, and post-graduate studies in evidence-based medicine provide a knowledge base that supports my practice of sound, high-quality and holistic equine bodywork that is based on the latest science and a love for helping others improve their health and well-being. My participation as a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner Continuing Education member ensures I stay informed on current issues.
